I don't know if anyone in the club is still running Win7 RC (Release Candidate) the last 'Beta' before the RTM (Release to Manufacturing), but if so, read on.

Windows 7 RC expires on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, PCs running Windows 7 RC began shutting down every two hours.

The Win7 RTM DVDs that I've shared within the club are modified so they can update Win7 RC to Win7 RTM. Retail Win7 DVDs cannot do that.
