Download the first attachment here: <http://www.sevenforums.com/attachments/software/9886d1241651554-cant-make-windows-mail-default-windows-mail.zip> Download the second attachment here: <http://www.sevenforums.com/attachments/software/9856d1241627782-cant-make-windows-mail-default-windows-mail2.zip> UnZIP each one. Right-click on each one and click on Merge. Now you will be able to configure Windows Mail under "Default Programs" and Windows Mail itself will show that it is the default handler for mails and news. Here's another procedure that is supposed to achieve the same result: <http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/5481-windows-mail.html>. For those 'grafting' from Vista-64 into Win7-64, this procedure is applied twice, one for Program Files and once for Program Files (x86). If you've already copied the Vista Windows Mail files into Win7, the first procedure is the easier way to go. Regards, Dale.... ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ |
