Windows Mail - Joanie Dennen says it works (Link).
Discussion during meeting pointed out that the spellchecker is provided
by the presence of Microsoft Office. Also mentioned that, with no
Office spellchecker support, there are third party spellcheckers
available. While not solely a spellchecker, the WordWeb program
includes a dictionary, thesarus and spellchecker that works with any
