Upload to/download from Webspace at your ISP

You have to arrange with your ISP to activate your Web space. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is used to make file transfers to/from your PC.

You can use:

· The FTP command line utility that comes with Windows

· Netscape's Upload feature (not available in MSIE)

· An FTP utility like FileZilla, CuteFTP or WS_FTP (shareware)

· Windows Explorer in Win2000 & WinXP

You need to know your username, password, and URLs for your Web space.

Examples of FTP URLs:

· Internet Gateway:
ftp://username:password@members.thegateway.net/

· TStar:
ftp://username:password@pages.tstar.net/public_html/

· Momentum:
ftp://username:password@204.96.220.20/public_html/
ftp://username:password@204.96.220.3/web/
ftp://username:password@204.96.220.161/docs/

· Intergate:
ftp://username:password@www.intergate.com/

· KTC iNET:
ftp://username:password@ftp.ktc.com/public_html/

· CTESC:
ftp://username:password@www.ctesc.net/public_html/

· NCTV (see note below):
ftp://username%40home.nctv.com:password@home.nctv.com/

Files & Webpages can be viewed with any browser at these Web spaces using their corresponding HTTP (Web) addresses. For example, to view files that were FTPed to some of the Webspaces mentioned above, the HTTP URLs would be:

http://members.thegateway.net/username/filename.typ

http://pages.tstar.net/~username/filename.typ

http://www.intergate.com/~username/filename.typ

http://www.ctesc.net/~username/filename.typ

http://home.nctv.com/username/filename.typ
